Jessica Camp
Jessica Camp graduated from Lindale High School in 2000. There she played varsity volleyball as an outside hitter and defensive specialist. Her team made it to the regional finalist match. Then she graduated from Baylor University in 2004 with a BA Secondary Education. Jessica played for the Baylor Club Volleyball team. She taught Biology and Volleyball and Basketball in Lindale for 2 years and Wakeland High School in Frisco for 3 years. She is now the Head Volleyball Coach at Heritage High School in Frisco. She grew up in a Christian home and came to know the Lord at age 9. Jessica attends the Village Church in Highland Village. She enjoys playing volleyball, running, watching sports, and hanging out with family and friends.

Erin Gonzalez

Erin graduated in 1994 from Mansfield High School.  She led her high school team to 3 5A district titles, 3 play-off runs and making it as far as state semi-finals her junior year.  She was named 2nd-team All District her sophomore year, 1st-team All District her junior and senior year, also being named District Offensive Player of the Year her senior year, a honor she was double awarded by her teammates and coaches her last 2 years.  She played for the premier club team Metroplex Volleyball during her high school career taking her team all over the county winning 4 televised national tournaments.  She was named as one of Texas Top 10 Volleyball Players in 92 and 93 and named to the Tour of Texas All-Tournament Team.  Erin received an invite for the Jr. Olympic Team and recruited by contending D1 universities all over the country, but stayed close to home to attend Dallas Baptist University.  A freshman-year knee injury ended her playing career.  Not letting that end her passion for the game, she began coaching the select club team OVVC out of Louisville, KY.  She took her team all over the country with a winning record and 3 1st-place finishes in national tournaments.  Since moving back to the metroplex in 1998, she started coaching 15 and 16’s regional teams for the Tarrant county based TNT Club team where she has been coaching before moving to McKinney and joining Club Legacy in 08.  Erin coaches like she played.  As the game has evolved over the years, her passion for the game and her athletes has not.  Erin is the mother of an energetic 6 yr old, Grant.  She has a mortgage practice here in McKinney, is active in her church, community and local politics.  She is passionate about not only the physical game of volleyball, but of the character and lessons which are learned through the game and dynamics of a team.


Dennis Schreffler
Dennis Schreffler has coaching in his blood. He comes from a coaching family where his Mom had over 500 wins in volleyball, his Dad is in the Texas Coaches Hall of Fame, and Dennis has coached volleyball and tennis as well. He coached volleyball at Springtown HS where he had a record of 47-7, and then moved on to Boswell HS and Wichita Falls Rider HS to coach tennis where he achieved many state and national accolades including 7 State Championships. Dennis graduated from Tarleton State University with a degree in Kinesiology and a minor in Mathematics then received his Masters from Midwestern State University. He was Honorable Mention All-American in tennis 3 years, played and coached the third ranked intramural volleyball team in the State of Texas. Throughout his career, Dennis has been a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). He has served in many different capacities with the FCA stemming from President in High School to Vice President in College & then Sponsor while at Wichita Falls Rider HS. Dennis currently resides in Allen, where he is a Sporting Goods Rep for Jerry’s Scoreboard out of Wichita Falls. He is a Christian and a member of Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church. He brings Club Legacy valuable experience both coaching and playing but more especially a deep desire to return to the coaching realm where he can impact young people both spiritually and athletically. Michele Massey
Michele Massey has been coaching volleyball for 9 years and has been playing for 15 years. She was a standout player at her high school in Oklahoma where she was a 4 year starter as the varsity setter for Putnam City Original High School. She led her team to the state playoffs all 4 years. She started her college career off at Texas Wesleyan University in 2000 and in 2001 and then moved back home to Oklahoma were she played at Mid-America Bible University. She finished her playing career at Southern Nazarene University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education, Health, and Safety. Throughout her collegiate career she was selected as a member of the All-Tournament Team at the national tournament, Setter of the year, and named as an All-American. She also led her team in accomplishing their team goal of winning a national championship. From 2001-2005 she coached for Oklahoma Wind Volleyball Club as the Head Coach for the 16 National Team. She led her teams to many tournament wins, including qualifying for and attending the 2003 National tournament in Atlanta, GA, where her team finished in the top 25 in the nation. In 2005 she moved to the DFW area and was the varsity volleyball coach for South Hills High School in Fort Worth 7-4A and placed fourth in their district. Club experience in the DFW area Michele coached the 16 National team for Texas Juniors DFW in 2006. In 2007-2008 18 and 12 National for Dallas Synergy. Currently, Michele is the Head Freshmen A and Assistant Varsity coach at Hebron High School.

Jessica Grayson
Jessica Grayson was born and raised in Oklahoma. She graduated from Edmond Santa Fe High School in 2000. Jessica was named to the All-State All-Tournament Team both her junior and senior year. She was also nominated the Co-Player of the year by the Daily Oklahoman and was the Most Valuable Player at the All-State games her senior year. She then went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in Management with a certificate in Marketing at Georgia Tech. While at Tech, Grayson played for the varsity volleyball team for two years and helped coach the club volleyball team for two years. After graduation, Jessica was hired as the head volleyball coach at Edmond North High School. In her five years as the head coach, Jessica’s team won regionals and made it to the state tournament all five years. Jessica also coached club volleyball for Team OKC, Oklahoma Charge, and Oklahoma Peak Performance. Jessica was also the head girls’ soccer coach for Edmond North where her team was the defending state runner-up for three consecutive years. Jessica teaches math at Frisco Centennial High School. She is happily married to her husband, Terry Grayson. Jessica is a Christian and loves the opportunity that coaching gives her to share Jesus with young athletes.

Zach DeVito
Zach DeVito was born and raised in Las Vegas, NV. He graduated from Clark High School in 2003. There he played volleyball as a right side hitter and defensive specialist. Then he graduated from Texas Christian University in 2007 with his BA in Mathematics and a minor in teaching. Zach was setter for TCU club volleyball team, and was captain and player-coach his last 2 years. He taught Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus and coached freshman volleyball at Paschal High School for two years. Zach is currently teaching Algebra 1 at Heritage High School in Frisco. Zach was raised Catholic and attended Our Lady of Victory through out his childhood. He currently attends St. Andrews United Methodist Church in Plano. He enjoys playing volleyball, watching football (TCU football in particular), and hanging out with his beautiful wife Beth and friends.

Alexis Wood
Alexis Wood has coached various clinics throughout the years; most recently for McKinney Boyd High School.  This is her 3rd year with Club Legacy. She was the Assistant Coach for a club team out of Fayetville for the 16s - FAVA.  She head coached and assisted at the World Volleyball Training Center in New York for 3 years as both a court and setter coach.  Her playing career lasted more than 11 years; most recently she played for the University of North Carolina at Pembroke as a setter.  Prior to college, she played for her high school teams and graduated in 2005.  During high school she was named 1st team All Concorde District, 2nd team All-Concord District, 1st Team All-Northern Region, 1st team All-State Setter and 1st Team All-Met in the Washington Post. She was also named MVP for both District and Region.  She also played for Metro Virginia Club Volleyball for 3 years and for NVVA 18 Select.  I take joy in teaching and helping players on their path to success in the sport. I am a devout Episcopalian. One of my favorite bible versus is: "Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed." Proverbs 16:3

Janae Mertens
Janae Mertens is originally from Manhattan Beach, CA – born and raised in the volleyball capital of Southern California. She has been coaching volleyball for over 10 years, 4 years in North Texas. She has coached athletes ranging in ages from 8 to 17 and has been the head coach for club teams in 12’s, 14’s and 17’s. Janae began playing competitive sports at the age of 10. She started playing beach/indoor volleyball at the age of 12. She graduated from Mira Costa High School where she played on the Varsity volleyball team. As a nationally ranked high school team, she competed in high-level volleyball tournaments such as Durango in Las Vegas, Nike Challenge in Chicago and Hawaii Invitational. She played club for South Bay Volleyball Club and Manhattan Beach Volleyball Club. Aside from volleyball, she has competed on an International level in badminton and was a member of the United States Junior National Badminton Team in 1995, 1996 and 1998. She holds 12 Junior National Titles. In 1998, she was asked to train at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, but turned down this opportunity for a potential volleyball scholarship. After graduating high school from Mira Costa, she attended college at Colorado State University and played actively on intramural club teams after a shoulder injury her senior year prevented her from pursuing a playing career in college. After receiving her B.A. in Public Relations and minor in Speech Communications, she moved to Florida where she enjoyed playing recreational beach volleyball and coaching young athletes on the sand. In 2003, Janae moved to North Texas where she happily works full time for Darling Homes and resides. She is a Christian and attends Preston Trail Community Church. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, hanging out with family and friends, running with her dog, watching and playing sports and reading. Sarah Bujol
Sarah Bujol was born in Dallas, TX and grew up in Plano before moving to Kansas in high school. All throughout middle school and high school, she participated in volleyball, basketball, and track. While living in Plano, Sarah played volleyball for the Jasper Jaguars and then was an outside hitter and setter on the 15’s silver team for Dallas Summit. In high school she played basketball and was on the diving team, but her main focus was volleyball. She played Varsity volleyball for Blue Valley Northwest High School where she was a defensive and serving specialist. Sarah attended college at Texas Tech University where she was very involved with intramural sports and the Residence Halls Association. Sarah is currently in her 2nd year of teaching at Pioneer Heritage Middle School in Frisco, and coaches volleyball, basketball, and track. When she is not coaching she enjoys working out, playing volleyball, hanging out with friends, and playing board games with her family. Laura Penola
Laura Penola grew up in Houston, TX where she attended Kingwood High School. Laura played varsity for two years as an outside hitter. She continued on to attend Baylor University where she received her degree in Marketing and Management. She was involved with the women’s club volleyball program. Laura played outside hitter for four years and helped her team finish in 5th place at the national club tournament. She also received the honor of making the 2nd team all tournament her senior year. After college, Laura became the head coach at Life School in Oak Cliff for two years, followed by a short period of time in radio sales. She soon realized her passion was in education and coaching. She is now working at Heritage High School in Frisco where she is an assistant volleyball/softball coach and teaches Health. She grew up in a Christian home and now attends Northwest Bible Church in Dallas.

Torrie Naron
Torrie Naron is from Houston, TX where she played volleyball and swam growing up. She played for Texas Elite and Stratford High School. In 2007, she finished college at Texas Tech University and moved to Frisco to teach and coach. This is her second year at Staley Middle School. She teaches 8th grade English and coaches Volleyball, Basketball and Track. This past summer, she got married in Houston and happily resides in Frisco. Torrie is the First Club Legacy coach to take a team to NATIONALS!!

Jenny Harry
Jenny went to school at Texas Tech and finished her degree at TWU. She played for Coppell High School as an outside hitter where she received the Co-Fighting Heart award and was also awarded All Metrocrest News Honorable Mention, Academic All District and All District. Jenny and her husband have two boys that are 2 and 4. Jenny is on the Board of Directors for the DFW Labrador Retriever Rescue. They are members of Hope Fellowship in Frisco Tx. Jenny was brought up in a Christian home but did not walk with the Lord until she was 18 and her life has never been the same. This is Jenny's 6th year to coach volleyball.

Joshua Tabor
Joshua Tabor is a graduate of Lakeview Centennial HS in Garland. He went on to receive a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of North Texas and a Master’s in Secondary Education from Texas A&M- Commerce. This is his 9th year to coach high school volleyball where he has been a freshmen, JV and varsity head coach. Currently he teaches US History and is the varsity assistant volleyball and softball coach at Frisco Wakeland High School. Currently Josh attends church at St. Gabriel’s in McKinney. In his spare time, Josh spends time with his wife Amanda and loves to watch movies, read and work on his house. This is his first foray into the club world and he is very excited!

Jeff Gilleland
Jeff was born in Ennis Texas and grew up in Plano Texas. He graduated from Plano East Senior High School and played volleyball from 12-18 under the coaching of Lee Tonga. He was the teams lead setter and eventual team captain. Recently, Jeff has played in competitive adult leagues and tournaments throughout the metroplex. Jeff Gilleland brings an additional 15 years of coaching experience as a lead coach to his role with Club Legacy, coupled with a philosophy of building a family atmosphere by providing a positive and nurturing experience to a competitive environment that builds player character and performance. Prior to Club Legacy, Jeff was a lead coach with Texas Heat Volleyball Club, Lone star VBC, and Team PSA. In 1997, his 17-18’s team won the Silver Medal at the USA JO National Championships. Jeff is an avid sports fan, and works with athletes in helping them to secure contracts in the field of professional sports and in corporate endorsements. He advises and consults in areas of saving and investments and other money management issues. Jeff earned a Business Degree from the University of Phoenix. Jeff resides in Dallas Texas and has three awesome children that light up his world, Nick, Ethan and Anna. He is a family man, Christian and loves music and plays guitar with his dad and brother.

Kristi Rayburn

Kristi Rayburn has had volleyball in her life for almost 20 years. She began playing as a young girl in a small north Texas town and went on to be heavily recruited out of Alvarado High School. Kristi settled on Ashford University in Clinton, IA. Since her college years, Kristi has captained a number of teams to USAV Nationals. Most recently, Kristi represented Team Miller/Coors at USAV as a setter and was named team captain by the sponsor. In 2009, Kristi and her partner Amanda Gadison turned their love for volleyball into a professional endeavor… they joined The AVP Next Pro Beach Volleyball tour. In their first season, they have been seeded as high as 42nd and played all over the country. Kristi has a busy family life as well.  She and her husband Joe are the parents of two star athletes; Abby, who plays point guard for the 8U Ladyjacks Basketball Club and Logan who is a Linebacker / Receiver for The North Texas Wrecking Crew Select Football Club. She still plays a full schedule of club volleyball, trains for AVP events at Crull Fitness, and is very excited about her upcoming USAV Juniors Championship with Club Legacy.


Tonia Hatfield

Tonia Hatfield was born and raised in Saginaw, MI and moved to DFW area 5yrs ago.  This will be her 2nd year coaching at Legacy.  Tonia graduated from Saginaw High School, All-Regional, All-State Team and a national recognition of Honorable Mention her senior year.  Tonia received a full scholarship at University of South Alabama as an outside hitter where she ranked top 5 for 3 yrs in the Sun Belt Conference.  Tonia graduated with a business degree and currently works as a Tax Accountant at Thomson Reuters.  Tonia is a Christian and member of Rhema Life Fellowship Church in Plano, TX.
